I am on a bit of roll after my successful predictions of 3-0 and 2-1 following our first two matches and I am not sure wether I can go one better and accuratley predict the next game but I'm sticking out my neck with a narrow 2-1 win to the Addicks. I think that the U's will offer us more of threat than the previous two opponents, no disrespect to the Cherries or The Magpies. Wins breed confidence and although its early days we have, as I have said the potential to win this league comfortably breaking many club records along the way.
Tell AHLL the teams and me the lottery numbers! I'm going for a 1-1 or 0-0. Think it will be a cagey affair with many heart in mouth moments.. a game where defences will be on top. That said, I wouldn't be disappointed to take a point and would be more than delighted to take all 3.
Agreed im going for a 1-0, BWP first goal of the season. Despite not scoring goals as of yet, he is chipping in with the assists and that is what we ask of him.
I would be happy with a point from this one. This was the first game we lost a couple of years ago, but remember the pitch they were playing on...
1-0 to us - there will be no bogey sides this season. Make no mistake though, this is going to be a damned hard, physical game against a well organised and pretty settled team.
if 4-0 is the score cafc4ever, i will actually send you a crate of beer in the post. the u's are well organised at the back, i'd say a narrow win, 1 or 2 - 0.
Can't knock your confidence, 4ever. Based in Leeds, are you looking forward to seeing several away games this season? As well as the two Sheffield games, Chesterfield, Hartlepool and Scunny are all well placed for you, aren't they?
They have some dangerous players, O'Toole and Wordsworth are 2 of the league's better players and Colchester has never been the best of grounds for us to win at but then when Curbs got us promoted we won at certain grounds for the 1st time in ages then too head says 1-1 heart says 2-1 Charlton
3-3 colchester wordsworth 2 and og from morrison us will be -wagstaff ,benson and green with others these players like scoring their!watch out for wordsworth my arsenal mate it his cousen aparantly very good was going move to sheff utd in 800k move but collapsed i think we should bid for him keep comp hotting up in midfield
Tewks, you would think so, but fate often deals a bad hand, last year i happened to be out the country for Wednesday and udders. Can't get the time off for bury, oldham and rotherham are my nearest grounds, although 2 years ago i walked to elland road! Oh by the way a create of Stella would do nicely, I'll pm my address when we score the 4th! I full expect us to win every game this season, i know we won't, but everyone is winable. coyr
reckon a 1-1 would do us nicely - would be nice though to get a win and stay top - and stay there for the whole season !
Hey, 4ever, i lived in Leeds for a couple of years 2005-2007, in Brewery Wharf near the Aire Bar - you close by? or you studenting in Headingley ?
im moving to leeds on september 22nd. Going to Leeds Uni, staying in the 'Henry Price' accommodation in Headingley. Nice to know I wont be the only cafc fan about
I'll buy you a pint and show you round a bit if you like nick? I moved up here to go to uni in 03 and loved it so much i stayed. Lived in headingly for 5 years, but had to grow up and buy a house in wortley.
Must admit, Leeds has a certain 'charm' (looking for a diff word!) about it. When i first arrived there i wondered what i was doing, but its a nice city (if you ignore the locals) - a lot of Uni students stay after finishing.
Good memories of Leeds - about 20 years ago, I set up and delivered three days of presentations at The Royal Armouries - tremendous venue, great acoustics, hardly had to mike it - also I was propositioned at one in the morning in the Hilton by one of the most beautiful women I've ever set eyes on, regrettably a 'professional' lady, and I had to politely decline... Only been to Elland Road once, just after they'd lost Cantona, and singing 'Ooh, ah, where's your star?' That was fun.
