Thought Colback had an excellent game on Saturday. I think he deserves to be a permanent fixture at left back. He and Giacchi havewhat looks like the start of a good understanding. Onwards and upwards. KTF

Did nowt wrong or special for that decent game would still rather a proper LB in there and use him as cover.

Exactly did nowt wrong. If they replace him with somebody of calibre of Danny Rose then ok but if not why waste money on a LB when an Attacking Midfielder is a priority. (I'd love to see another forward as well..JI and Wickham are poor alternatives)

A couple of lads had a pop at him on Saturday night post match blues and alcohol probably but, didn't see anything to give him grief over. Striking options are limited mate mind you we only have one FB at the club as well so a crappy injury and we are back to CMs as FBs.
If the Sess saga is true and he is away then we will have to prioritise an ACM however, going on his performance on Saturday maybe you are right and we need them sooner rather than later.

I am unsure on this Juve guy we are apparently after, would be a massive mistake if he is no better than Colback as he did have a good game and definitely changed from last season when he played there, you can tell they have been working on supporting the attack.

If we are going to add at left-back then they need to have more quality than Jack and by that they should be scoring or assisting.

If we buy a replacement and Jack is dropped then that's another player we may as well kick out of the club. I say give him a chance and if he hasn't proven himself by December then get a replacement in. We have bigger problems to address then LB.

yup. for cover alone we need a player better than or st least just as good as Jack for LB.

the only thing that frustrates me about Colback is he is so one-footed. he'd be a far better player, much more difficult to read/play against when he is 'attacking' if he learned to use his ****ing right foot.

I was one of those guys who happened to mention that I didn't think Colback is a premier class full back and I stick by that. If this club has any ambition to get to the next level then to have a make shift left back simply isn't the answer. I did also mention that I thought Colback did nothing wrong on saturday, but we need more than that.. a lot more. We have had plenty of players in the past the don't do a lot wrong..about time we moved players in who actually do a lot right.

Problem is that we have more pressing problems with players that don't do anything right. Larsson, Sessegnon, Ji, Wickham should all be let go to make space for replacements quickly. The goal wasn't Jack's fault and neither was the fact that we squandered so much possession and chances. Unless we get Rose then I hope we give him a chance.

We need a LB, even if Colback can play there as we have no cover.

What impressed me during the game is how solid looking colback is now. Couple of times fulham players tried to push him off the ball, and they bounced off him! PDCs fitness regime has worked wonders on him.

Colback wasnt perfect on sat, but compared to last season he was getting fwd a lot more, taking PDCs wing-back approach to heart. A few more games, and he will do very well in that position imo.

Colback is so underrated it's a joke. I rather sign a CM & a forward.

Spot on mate..Whether in his preferred midfield or as a fullback, he should be one of the first names on the team sheet..

What the f**k is happening with our academy? No decent under 20 / 19 / 18 left backs there?

    WHY NOT????????

I'm amazed at the lack of players that the academy produces. Maybe Paolo should ban playstations, skinny jeans and those fkin awful fringes that the kids seem to have.

I hope Colback proves me wrong, I really do, but what I see at the moment is an average player, playing out of position (which isn't his fault). Surley, as this club is going through such a revolution of playing staff...we need a proper left back, one who can defend and counter attack plus support his midfield. In Jack, I just don't see it, I want to see it...but for me he simply doesn't have the skill sets to do this job.
