For me this is a tough one because I am a very big Colback fan, local lad, doing well, skill and getting better, keep him in.

But, Gardner, prem experience, proven midfielder, goal threat, bought to improve team, get him in.

We know that Larssen and Catts must start and neither Colback or Gardner can do the job at LW so one must miss out.

The derby, IMO, is a must win game, not for the season but to put right last season and keep momentum going.

Colback will give his all, local lad out to impress and Gardner would give his all, home game, first game and out to impress.

Its a hard one but if it was me picking, thank **** its not, I would go for Gardner, just.

I agree, Gardner was brought to score goals from midfield, he must start.

Got to agree syd it should be Gardner. Prem league experience, potential goal threat, cup winner and plenty experience of Midlands derbys

I agree as well. It's a tad harsh on Colback but I would go with Gardner for this game for his goalscoring threat and strength in midfield.

the only thing with gardner is he is a hot head and to have him and catts in a game like this is very dangerous imo

I'd go with colbeck..... Simply because he keeps hold of the ball, exactly what we need in a game like this.

Tiote and Barton are no saints and they'll be playing. Catts and Gardner to match them.

I'd select Gardner ahead of Colback bit harsh on the lad.

colback, he has is calmness personified which is needed during a derby match. very little chance of him freezing and his passing will be needed.

Bruce has gone on all week about experienced players playing, and their importance on leadership on the pitch etc etc. Therefore Gardner should start

I think the team will be the same as last week with O`shea on the bench instead of Laing

Out of all our midfielders, the 1st name on the team sheet should be Colback. Thats if Sess is classed as a striker

This is a tough one. I would go for Gardner, just. Colback is coming along well, but after last years stage fright, I would go for experience here.

Aye tough one, I was impressed with Colback last week good on the ball and broke the play up well.
He did get out muscled a couple of times mind!
But his overall play last game just edges me to keep him in, Gardner to come on for him if he is struggling.
