Since Colback has came into the first team setup I personally think he has been absolutely fantastic and game upon game the lad's performances have been improving but does anyone else think he is the best holding midfielder at the club?

On Saturday his performance was one of the very few plus points IMO and reminded me of Hargreaves when he was at his best. Not a hard hitting holding midfielder but is very neat and tidy, breaks up play and releases the ball very quickly to the players who can cause damage just like Hargreaves.

We have Catts and Meyler who are also good players in there own right but I think Colback has more class about him and I can see him playing for a top club in a few years which I cannot see happening with the other two.

IMO we should be looking for a player with a bit of creativity and with an eye for a pass to play alongside him, for me the best central midfielder at the club. Him and Sigurdsson in the middle would be fantastic!

He's certainly the best left back at the club.

He is a very good midfielder, but he is also the best LB the club have right now as well.

I hope MON puts him at LB, and Bardo at RB next game - as I dont think I can stand to see Oshea at RB again.

If we got 20m off them for Henderson then this lads worth 30m, there a joke Liverpool

Henderson for 20m when Sess cost 6m, Tiote 2m, Cabaye 6m, Cisse 8m, Ben Arfa 5m, Gyan 13m, Cana 5m

average young english players are well overrated, the lad done a canny job for us but has nothing worth 10m let alone 20m about his game

I think he is the best midfielder at the club now too. Catts and Gardner are both also good but are both 1 dimensional. If Colback could add a few more goals to his game he would be superb, the next Paul Scoles. (only Colback can tackle)

Best cm at the club for me, so composed wherever he plays and has something none of our other cms have.... A bit of pace. Hope he keeps improing and adding more to his game.

You have to be joking , the lad has had a decent season and has supprised me (thought he was a bit of a lightweight , but has never let the first team down) But ,superb and the next Paul Scholes come on .........

Said this on Saturday as well Killa and OShea in middle for me but Turner not done a lot wrong. Think we miss him in midfiled but can cover that better than Bardo left back

Spot on, good player, but gets out muscled too easily.

Catts and Gardner don't get pushed off the ball so easily.

Not seen him offer enough going forward to compare him to Hargreaves. Tidy, yes, class, not yet.

We always run out of ideas in the last 3rd, edge of the box stuff when the opposition have plenty of men back. We need some one to have the vision to unlock defenses. Jack could be that man. Hopefully.

That's because we don't have and haven't had for 4 years for that matter, a proper left back back. IMO, Jack is completely wasted at LB and continually playing him there will not advance his career at all. As an emergency LB, as with Gardener at RB, they can play there for a given circumstance but not for the long term.

I am a huge fan of Jack Colback and although he may not be a headline grabber or a glamour player, he IS the most comfortable player at the club in midfield on the ball and rarely gives the ball away or doesn't put in a shift.

IF he could score the goals.

Think how far he has come since last season.

Catts is the best holding midfielder wew have IMO - I rate Colback but Catts still edges ahead of him for me. I disagree with Cest about him at Left back - he is fantastic there and looks a natural in the position - if he decided to be a full time left back, unlike Richardson, I think he will make it his own position. We'll see eh!
