Following Metro reports that fans of Italian club Parma have been recognised in a unique way by their club by having the name of every season ticket holder sewn into their new shirt, a spokesman for Colchester Utd has claimed they will be doing the same. "We are having a special board meeting next week", the spokesman is quoted as saying, "to decide exactly where on the shirt the single name will be".
funny, but I do think we need to cease these hostilities with Col U. They are not our rivals, they never really were. All we have in common is that through luck they happened to be our oposition when we hit rock bottom and that their Manager happened to be the guy we needed to get ourselves sorted. They were never competing with us on a level playing field and probably never will. Continuous mention of them on this board just panda's to the few of their idiots who keep coming here on the wum. Personally it is water off a ducks back to me.
In point of fact I have a soft spot for Col Utd Kenny, but I think it's important that we keep up the pretence of hostility for the sake of colu_mike. I'd really fear for him if we ever ignored him completely. And now that Paul Lambert HAS moved on, just as Mike predicted (unique in being Mike's ONLY correct prediction ever), his festering resentment has nothing to feed on. So, being a charitable person, I do my best for him. PS I was going to post it on the Col U board, but when I visited it I discovered that Mike is virtually the sole poster, and as he spends more time on our board, I thought it best to post it here.
I loved that centenary shirt, unfortunately I'm too fat to get in to it now, I think size small was optimistic at the time to be fair.
I think they should just quit football and copy Parma by making ham, it'll be more profitable. How big is the colu shirt? Size of a postage stamp?
