I know, but interesting to see what the Coventry fans think..Dont think he will be in Pressley's plans for next season
It makes interesting reading the mixed views on Cody, some feel he was not given a chance but others think he was dross, lets hope it is the former not the latter at L1 level
They have disliked him since he signed there. Poor support for him. He knows he is a god at priestfield and we will sing his name. I know so much of football is money now but there must be a thought in any players head when they get offered adoring fans and being treated like a hero.
According to some people on twitter, they asked the management staff at the POTY awards about cody and as they had had quite a few bevvies, they spouted out that the deal was pretty much done and dusted. Mad Dog was holding his cards a bit closer to his chest by saying we'll wait and see. Drunken words are sober thoughts don't forget either way I so hope this happens!
Couldn't disagree more, Kedwell & McDonald would be a superb force in League Two but would get nowhere at League One level. Kedwell won't be winning headers, and McDonald will only score if he's got a target man (which Kedwell is not). Somebody like Calvin Zola would do the job for me, or Crouchy if he's going unwanted.
Coventry are having a clearout,5 released and some agents in negotiation with the club to agree settlements. No mention of names though, only of the 5 released http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/five_on_their_way_793804/index.shtml
Coventry played the wrong system for a striker like Cody, simple as that. When he plays with a partner to feed off and players slipping balls through from the wings there is no doubt he scores goals. He wasn't a big enough signing for Coventry to change their system to fit him. It appears Allen already knows how to play him so well be in a good position should he come
The clearout of the contracted players at Coventry has started. They have apparently been offered half their outstanding salary to leave. Gary McSheffrey has accepted but Kevin Malaga has refused. Wonder if McSheffrey would do for us? He's 30 but very experienced http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/malaga_to_sit_out_city_contract_793916/index.shtml http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/coventry-city-fc-news/2013/04/30/92746-33262175/
Crouch would never sign for Gills......have you read what he thinks about the Gills (fans) in his book? Cody would do very well in league one with Kedwell or any other forward with an ounce of skill and a footballing brain. Kedwell is NOT an out and out target man, but he does have those two aforementioned ingredients, and a team player not given to tantrums.
