looks like our chances of seeing cody mcdonald back at gillingham are all but over, milton keynes looks where he's headed now. just hope p scally tried hard enough to bring him home at least? mk dons online have now stated that he is about to join them shortly! don't think we stood any chance at all, but like most gills fans hoped more than ever that wish came true...though a very long shot! gutted!!!
gills, oxon - have you got a link. It seems to appear that the Coventry Telegraph is the supposed source of this story but I'm yet to find the actual story?
I will keep trying, this is the lead story but not the source, which I cannot find...http://www.mkdonsonline.com/154-premier-league-striker-to-be-signed-by-milton-keynes-dons? are they confusing it with Charlie MacDonald, surely not.
If, as I would expect, Cody does sign for someone else (although I have to say personally if I were in his place I wouldn't sign for MKDons just on principle and I'm sure he'll have other options) i will wish him the best of luck. Does leave me wondering why we're taking so so long to bring in a replacement for Birch, I was hoping it was due to some arrangement to bring Cody back, but it does appear that we are just looking at trialists again (according to Triggers blog on kentonline) http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/2011/august/25/triggers_tales.aspx Right at the bottom. I find this massively disappointing and a big indicator that we have no money left.
Yet more speculation again, this time the Posh... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11709_7138308,00.html
