You're right that there was a lot of confidence on this board that the Rs would register a big win today. On paper I don't think many fans of either side would have argued too strongly against a home win. But that's football. Enjoy your win (I would) and good luck for the rest of the season.
well played swans outstanding day for you and Liverpool were smashed also Villa lost with Lambert and Norwich sunk as well. Beautifully quick and decisive play and too much for us as we totally collapsed. I think t=you are also playing a better brand of stuff by the looks of it under ML. Think we had every right to be confident. The problem is that you have to match that confidence with energy, effort and sweat. We did not do this today. Many of players walked around the pitch like it was a pre-season friendly.

this weeks priorities sign a new CB, DM and defensive coach. The first game is never seen to be a sign of the teams strength due to it being the first competitive game and our team has pretty much been rebuilt. The strength of the team is how it responds to this result and shut the gaping hole in the defensive unit.
Defence looks like they just met b4 the game had said on previous thread we may not gel as quick as some would think.. all very well having pre season but there is no pressure in those games . Swansea played better .. we played OK at times and as bad as 5 o was there was some good play hoiilet played well for a bit . cissie got no ball 442 is something that should be used . no point playing one up front unless he can be supported.. we lost our first game last season also so were in no worse a place. and have a better team this season.. maybe this is a good result and we wont and the team wont start to get carried away ... Swansea took there chances we didn't .
Yeah it's not often I'm on the same page as DT but he's spot on. It's 1 game out of 36. Utd and Arsenal both had shockers at OT early last season but recovered. A bad day, a really bad day, at the office over with. Let's hope the lessons have been learnt. Well done to the Swans. Well deserved.
