First of all, I just want to say well done to everyone behind the scenes. The coaching staff have obviously been superb. Take Lambert for example, he was excellent last year but this year much, much better. That has to be down to the coaching staff getting him fit and changing the way he plays. Looking forward to seeing similar advances in Sharp. Anyway, there are a lot of transfer rumour threads already but I was thinking about our back 4. I think all our defenders are pretty good in terms of their ability with a ball but sometimes as a unit they don't quite click, giving away silly goals. So I was wondering whether it would be possible to get some specialist coaching for them (you often see specialist coaches in rugby for example). I was thinking some intense sessions with someone like Lee Dixon (perhaps with a bit of Keown/Adams thrown in). That Arsenal defence was collectively probably the best there has ever been in the Premier League I'm sure we could learn from them.
Lambert said recently that he had highly specialised fitness training, including yoga. It looks like they do target things to suit certain players. The Arsenal back four when Wenger took over were fantastic...Arsenal noticeably have done less well since they have gone for a more free flowing continental style. We need to get this balance right in the PL otherwise we will get caught out.
