http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...n-brighton-money-he-joined-because-they’re-a? Interesting article from a man who's never short of anything to say: Mr. Barry Fry. After CMS has chosen the mighty Brighton over West Ham or Leicester (and rumoured interest from the Premier League) the inevitable insincere platitudes have begun. Barry is speculating that Brighton may be bigger than West Ham and Leicester and CMS was won over by their ambition. CMS himself is sticking to the usual football cliches: won over by the manager, club going places, the facilities are great etc. The loss of CMS is relative easy to get over. I'm sure even his greatest fans will relax when our own striker signings begin to roll in. I've got nothing against CMS or Brighton. Good luck to them and him. It's quite a transfer coup and he obviously thinks they are a good fit. But spare me the trite and banal statements. Whatever the reasons are Brighton and Hove Albion will not be a bigger club than West Ham and Leicester in my lifetime. I'll take a wager on that Mr. Fry.
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19...tml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter So Baz thinks hes made the right move and MacAnthony is surprised by it :s nice to see they are on the same page .... Brighton have sold 18,000 season tickets! thats impressive, are we at about 14,000ish?
I really wouldn't bother yourself with anyone who thinks Brighton could be a bigger club than us or West Ham.
Barry Barry Barry Fat Barry Barry Barry What ever you taking its messing with your head This is the bit i like Brighton will be as big a club, if not bigger, than West Ham and Leicester. Only time will tell who’s right and who’s wrong
Total lack of ambition by CMS but glad it didn't go through. We need a proven striker at Championship level e.g Nugent.
In 5 years time they won't be bigger than WHU (due to the Olympic Stadium) but I think they'll be bigger than Leicester. Just my opinion mind you! Brighton have massive potential, and one big season this year and they could be in the Prem.
Why do Hull fans think we give a **** about their opinion - CMS has made his decision and congratulations to Brighton on pulling off a surprise coup - My money is still on Leicester to show the rest of the league how to win the title
The signing of Nugent today just proves we pulled out of the CMS deal. Nugent said he was prepared to sign for us so we cooled our interest in CMS and he went to Brighton. That best for all partys
Heard he was playing us,west ham & Brighton off for most money, west ham pulled out sat and Sven did yesterday - only rumours but might be something in it?
Most players/clubs will be playing other clubs off against each other for the best deal. In fact everyone's doing that, that's how the transfer window works. Peterborough said themselves that West Ham pulled out, I think it was more to do with Sven not offering CMS as much as Brighton did (because we felt he wasn't worth it). Anyway, no need to bother about that anymore, we've moved on
Just discussing general football. Beware of Brighton was my message, talking to my seagulls father in law I can see them being massive (plus we couldn't even put the sort of bid in Brighton, Leceister and WHU did). If it's any consolation to your egos I think Brighton have the potential to be bigger than us and many other teams including Leicester. And the reason I posted on your board is because, generally, you seem to know your footy and have good banter about the number of your ex-players we have.
True I have work colleagues down south who support Brighton and they are very confident that the board will spend big and they will go straight up, they also rate Poyet very highly and hope they do go straight or they say he will be gone to Prem. without them.
He obviously said it for effect. The day brighton are bigger is the day a new world order graces the return of chist in his singularity
