Excellent, Clyne should be a regular hope Shaw gets some good game time. That also looks a very strong squad.

Strong? Looks really weak to me. There's a worrying lack of players playing regularly in there for me. Looks particularly poor up front, bar Zaha. Wickham's done nothing since moving to Sunderland and Sordell has hardly featured for Bolton this season. Still a great experience for Shaw and Clyne though. I wonder if JWP was considered?
It's ok Pearce never gets much out of strikers; we had Welbeck and Sturridge up front last time and we scored one goal in the whole tournament, I think. Maybe a more topical question should be, why are we playing in Israel and is it safe?
Fairly average squad. Off the top of my head, I'd say that's the weakest Pearce has taken to a Championship with him yet. Agree that Clyne should be a regular starter. On the basis however that Shaw is pretty new to the team (he hasn't actually made his debut yet, right?), I'd assume Rose will start at LB. Going to the Olympics and having a full season at LB for Sunderland should also aid his cause.
Clyne and Shaw speak to SaintsPlayer: http://www.player.saintsfc.co.uk/la...0/page/0/name/Saints-Duo-Talk-England-Call-Up
Shaw should be starting at left back. Whether he will or not is another matter of course. Rose will turn 23 before Shaw turns 18.
Townsend is out for gambling offences. Oops. Also I reckon Clyne is the best player in that squad now.
Bloody unbelievable..! [shakes head] http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/england/news/shaw-withdraws-from-euros_85942.html
Why oh why do England coaches only take 3 forwards to a tournament. Does my head in. You have to take 4. It's a must for a tournament.
Well they're obviously only going with one out and out striker and Ince and Shelvey have both played there this season, which gives five. I think that's probably enough.
That's why I didn't say he was one! Having him as fifth choice for that position isn't exactly the end of the world though.
This is, in my opinion, good news. It's been fairly obvious that the 17 year old Shaw needs protection as he matures. Those of you old enough, think about Norman Whiteside and the demands on a 17 year old frame especially when they look physically mature and you realise they, 17 year old players, can't play every game. I personally think Rooney suffers from the same issue. These are guys who look like men but are actually boys who are prone to long term injuries. Bale was 'nursed' by Spurs for a few years. Shaw will need the same, which is why we need a Fox replacement....
