Okay, so here it is, City go into their last game needing just a draw to win the league and QPR needing just a point to be safe. A tame boring draw is played out and joy unconfined in the stands throughout and at the final whistle. You Rssssssssssssssssssss - actually I got a txt from the City kitman to say that this is what will happen if this is all that is needed on the final day
Hoppster Placenta Ball said it was safe to smoke, I should have listened to Cerny and put it in the bin when it arrived last Thursday!
Might as well just beat City and save all the ifs and buts. Diakite will make Toure look like a car crash victim. Kompany and Lescott will be legging it from Cisse's studs of fury.
There is absolutely no way city are not going to win 3-0. We will beat Atoke and still go down. My great faith is wavering......but I still think there is one more twist in the season.......just cannot think what it is
At this stage I would settle for beating Stoke (not proven!) and taking our chances with the fates after that.
think its out of our hands now (if you get my point). We need to beat Stoke and hope others lose then win then lose. It won't happen Sorry but for me we went down after losing at WBA. WE will all have our own reasons and i am sure that many will digest everything from Tango and cash to TF But it's was as simple as not being good enough. losing to Norwich, Bolton, Blackburn Wolves. Not beating Aston Villa twice (esp the game when we 2-0 up) and the sending offs have all contributed to a disastrous season. Our home form at the start was shocking and i said then that you cant throw away points in this division. I just hope TF does not panic buy in the Championship and we keep hold of most of the players (except SWP who has been the biggest flop in a QPR shirt). When we went down in 96 many said it would do us good and we would easily win the division? (lets hope history does not repeat itself)? I will be there whatever division we are in. You R's
That Terry header was the final goal in the coffin. Scumbag. And his Jesus-like appology to the Chelsea fans was revolting
So if the team were not good enough this term then why would we want to keep hold of most of the players? Admittedly the PL is a big step up from the Championship but bear in mind that it is the rump of our Championship squad that has shone out in recent weeks and not the big money aquisitions. My biggest concern is the uncertainty about who will hold the reigns next season as we need to be sounding out the best options for the 2nd tier right now.
If we agree that MH, TF, Beard and Amit aren't idiots, they must have factored relegation in when Hughes joined, especially when looking at the run in. I'm sure there is a coherent plan which does not involve massive spending cuts, but equally sure that it is based on promotion at the first attempt, a big ask from that hell of a league. Best way to avoid this is of course, staying up. Not over yet.
Swansea only need a draw at OT for Citeh to need a draw against us if they win at Newcastle. Theyd win the title on GD. Id love to see the most boring game ever, Swansea v Swansea like with 2 teams just passing it along the back 4 all game to settle for a 0-0 draw to make them champs and to keep us up.
