Just wondered if there were any guys on this forum who support smaller clubs in and around the area they were brought up in, or currently stay in. Not sure if a thread like this has been made, if it is can the mods just merge it... My local club in South Africa (used to be called Southampton) and is now called Linhill Celtic, a bit like a Sunday league side. Any others?
My local club plays in the Conference North.I always look for their results in the local paper and i've been to see them play on the odd occasion
The fantastic Torquay United . seen em a few times now. riveting . When i lived in northamptonshire , i used to go to Kettering Town FC
My 'local' team is Cardiff City but I don't have any allegiance with them. I moved up here for university 4 years ago and stayed put. Also, I can see the Millennium Stadium from my flat.
Sheffield United My first United game was against Arsenal ironically!! I still go every Christmas with my Dad & Brother - it's a family tradition to go to a homegame between Christmas & New Year
My Bro lives up in Birmingham and sometimes when i visit we will go and watch " the blue hoofers " . I tell you what , when you watch Birmingham City play , you appreciate Arsenal a little more.
I follow three teams - my boyhood local team (though I haven't been to see them for around ten years), my father's local team (who he's taken me to see many times) and my mother's local team (Arsenal). The first two aren't English, but both have UEFA coefficients.
I drive past the Amex Stadium every day on the way to work. Its far nicer when I go to watch games there instead of just going past.
