Just thinking that although it will cause a fixture problem for you later in the season it might be a good low pressure environment for Benitez to get his methods across, whilst also taking the players out of the limelight a bit and most importantly winning and the confidence winning brings.

Are you looking forward to it now or would you rather be playing in the Premier League?

Although Champions of the World would be awesome given our current situation, I would prefer to concentrate on the league. We need to get some momentum and focus on what happens domestically. That said if we fark it up in Japan then it really could be the end of Rafa!

But if we were Champions of the World, all you lot, everywhere, from Pikey to Spud, from Gooner to Scouser, would never hear the end of it ;)

It could well be a blessing, it might be a good place to give the likes of Marin a few first team games.

Couldn't come at a worse time really. We are down on form, down on enthusiasm, down on personnel.
Would be very unfortunate to under perform or do badly with the whole world watching on. Also we could do without the extra games with a half worn out squad. Too many games is definetely taking its toll on several of our players. And that's before we get to our "manager" !!!!!!
