Turnover NOTE : Arsenals Turnover is higher than normal due to selling property at Highbury (around 150 million higher). please log in to view this image Wages This table shows how much of turnover in % terms teams spend on wages. UEFA are planning a 70% maximum, which at current levels mean every team lower than Everton in this table would fail. NOTE: Arsenal sit in 2nd place at around 48% if you take property sales out. please log in to view this image Debt This table shows how much debt the club has against it. please log in to view this image
Just read today that all Wolves players have a clause in their contract that reduces their salary by 50% if relegated, I wonder if they was reminded of that 3 games ago.
The 'debt' table only tells half the story though, are interest free, or very low interest loans from mega-rich owners even comparable to silly bank (or other shady organisation) loans that charge well over 10%APR?
The interesting thing i've noticed from the wages table is the amount that Blackpool have spent on wages in the one season they had in the Premier League. I expect them to have clauses which would decrease the wages when they went done but it is still a amazing figure.
This is not very accurate. I can tell you from now the the figures for Newcastle in the dates shown are wrong. Our figures that you have shown are on the back of our championship season, not the currently completed season.
These figures are not accurate at all. I know for a fact that United's turnover for 2009/10 was just shy of £300m and the figures so far for 2010/11 show a year on year increase. It looks like they have been constructed from composite information. All you really need to know is United's Debt is now under control and along with Arsenal are the only club that spends less than 50% of turnover on wages. At the last check Uniteds debt stood at £519m of which £500m was a bond issue and United own 26% of the bonds.
Details are from here : http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2011/may/19/football-club-accounts-debt and Jarramang88 is correct they are not for 2010/2011 but for 2009/2010.
