The Club will be remembering one of its loyal supporters at Saturday’s home game against Charlton Athletic. please log in to view this image Rob Brown, a South Stand Season Card holder and a regular follower of the Tigers on the road, sadly passed away last week following a three-year battle with leukaemia. He was aged just 21. As well as a tribute in the Matchday Programme and on the Big Screen, we’re asking fans to join us in a minute’s applause in memory of Rob when the clock on the screen reaches 21 minutes this Saturday. One of Rob’s big passions in life was his local football club, following the team’s fortunes from a young age along with the rest of his family. He became a close friend to many at the Club last season when we joined forces with the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that had been and continued to be a huge source of support and comfort to Rob and his family during his illness. Rob was a driving force behind many of the charity bucket collections held at the KC Stadium last season and, despite his own personal circumstances, would never be seen with anything other than a smile on his face. The opening day of this season saw the players warm-up in special tee-shirts with ‘Brown 21’ on the back, and Rob received regular visits from members of the first team squad and club staff both during his time in the Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Castle Hill Hospital and at his own home. Rob passed away last Friday morning with his family at his side. Please join us in remembering Rob with applause 21 minutes into Saturday’s game. He truly was one of our own. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...turdays-game-2903267.aspx#FwJjOsqXT2HshHib.99
Amazing how these young people with these terrible illnesses can be so brave! How I'd cope I don't know! You hear so many stories and they're truly inspirational. RIP
Nice gesture from the club. RIP to another one taken way too soon, and yes, he saw it out with bravery and dignity.
I can't even begin to imagine the heartache and pain for his family and friends. The fact he carried on throughout with a smile on his face and more thought for others in a similar plight. Make it loud for Rob. RIP Tiger
It's a real tragedy when this takes someone so young, but a nice gesture by the club, I am sure there will be a good reaction from the fans.
A horrible disease - happened to my brother when he was 24 and I'm going back 35 years now. I'll be applauding as loud as anyone

This is truly heartbreaking. There are so many ****s in the world trying to destroy it and this lad on knowing he is losing his life is trying to make things better for future generations. RIP young fella and let's make today a special one for his family and friends. Xx
