Thankfully, Whyte's been (if you read into) told to do one as he doesn't have the readies he made out he did. Alternative suggestion by an existing director being considered. www.rangers.co.uk
Looks like the end for Whyte, but I cant see it being the end of Rangers' problems, as it's going to take a while to put a new deal in place. Maybe the administration route beckons after all . Tough time ahead for Super Ally methinks. Is Dave King the man behind the "new" proposal ? Frying pan / fire springs to mind.
A Tim on 606 today predicted this would happen and that Johnstone would try and buy the club. To be honest, I'd prefer the current board to buy the club. No Ellis can only be a good thing.
That wee fanny Chic young has been saying all along that Whyte would not go through with the deal. Much as I ****ing hate the ****, it looks like he was on he ball for once.
Totally agree, EDGE. I was never keen on this guy, especially with that shady cant Ellis as his right hand man. I think it was fairly obvious a few weeks ago that he didn't have the readies which he claimed. As hard as it would be, I'd even be comfortable with the club having another (financially) uncomfortable season or 2 in order to get the right man in. I'm totally with the Board's decision on this one.
We need some serious investment in the team over the summer. At this stage in the proceedings, I really don't care where it comes from.
Careful what you wish for Squiggy. No club in Scotland can afford to invest heavily in players. Celtic only managed it last summer because we are relatively stable and sold McGeady and Boruc. You're paying the price of too much spending in the past. There's even less money sloshing about Scottish football now.
So Dave King to the rescue now eh? http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/s...-bill-after-losing-tax-battle-86908-22924641/
