    According to a poster OTR.

Anyone on here heard anything about this?

As I pmd a couple of people on here I'd heard a whisper about major changes down the line, but not regarding ownership.

No idea but would seem a bonkers time to sell considering the club might double in value in May

I would be amazed unless the Kuwait lot are back to the table.
I would also be gutted, I like what KLD has done for the club, be a shame not to see it through

Would be a surprise to me.

Not sure I'd particularly want it either. Takeovers are messy, new owners will want to bring in their own ideas and people. We're in a good position where we are either promoted this season or have multiple sellable assets to fund another promotion push next season, not sure how that would play out if the summer is spent changing ownership.

Unless he wants to get out for a decent profit immediately after promotion, I can’t see there being any truth in this tbh.

I guess, if this is remotely true, we will know after the POs have finished.

but, again if true, this wil make some happy as they've never liked nor back KLD,

but again, again could just be nonsense

The people that don't like KLD won't like the next owners either.

Saudi Arabia's main rivals are mostly from the Arabian Gulf, notably Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.

how funny would that be a consortium against the Saudis <laugh>

Sure KLD registered some new companies or businesses (or was a director or something) recently at Black Cat House.
Can't recall what it was, but there was definately something recently.

Can't see him doing that if he was selling.

I reckon, and hope, it's bullshit.

Yeh we've just opened up a credit facility with his mum's company. To allow us to loan money from her as needed.

Don't see why that would be set up to then sell.

Stands to reason that the onwner would sell the club now rather than wait for three games to see whether five years of his professional life and tens of millions of his personal wealth have come to fruition and he has turned a relatively small asset into a relatively large asset.

    Wait.

    That doesn't sound right.

Never say never with ownership of football clubs these days is my feeling. Fickle bloody business.

Under Donald we must have been as attractive as a wart. Now are an emerging beauty spot, relatively speaking.

There seems to be a never ending supply of mega rich wanting in. Ask yourself which club is most likely to break into the prem, and have the infrastructure to stay there? I would argue we are one of two, with Leeds being the other.

Our biggest asset now is our academy. It is why I give academy players more leeway than bought in players. Ours is like a supply chain direct to Harrods. Potential owners know this. The more we give these youngsters game time the more valuable the club is. The less it costs to compete. The more attractive we are as a media proposition. Anyone not driving their academy at the moment wont make it in the next phase of football evolution. In my opinion.

Add to this our asset register of player valuations. The fact we are all but debt free. Have an elite training ground. We are ripe for purchase. Or we are ripe for KLD achieving promotion. That is the conundrum really. What is KLD long term life ambitions? How important is him being our owner in the prem? If a big hitter comes in and offers market value +20% then does he love us enough to stay?

If he were to sell up for big money I wouldnt be hugely surprised. I would be disappointed and wary though. I like what he has done. If he does sell, I just hope he understands us and more importantly what we arent. I dont want a nation state or an absent landlord from America. I dont want somebody buying us to wherever we go. I want to see the younger Watson come through the academy and make a name with us. So if, and probably when, change does happen, I hope it is the right change.

He has previously said that he would bring in new people if he felt the club needed more financial backing. Probably bullshit but it may that as outright selling his stake would be odd. Could also be transferring ownership to this new company he recently set up and someone has got the wrong end of the stick.

If it is true then I do hope we get a monorail out of it at least.

Hi guys, I’m back. Any truth to this or is it mag orc meddling before our play off campaign? I wouldn’t be against the idea if it meant reasonable financial adjustments were able to be made to make that next step up in recruitment.
