http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24051718 ... a welcome gesture but too little in reality ... for me they should effectively refund for every game that a season ticket holder can't get to because the time is changed for TV - could be in the form of a discount off the following year's season ticket or vouchers for the club shop (or a combination) - the TV monies received would more than compensate ... they should also be offering 'kids for a quid' for many games rather than having 10,000 empty seats!
I just read this article on BBC too. It is a good idea, and is better than nothing. Are we the only club to do this? It is fair enough that STH should get some sort of compensation for our games constantly being moved for TV. How many games was it last season that actually kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday!? Easily less than half, if I remember correctly... Also agree about prices in general, kids for a quid would be good, and even then they'd make a fair amount extra on drinks/sweets etc.
... not just that Jack -could be some parents out there who currently don't go at all because they can't afford to take their kids etc .... so you could be filling 2 extra seats (or more - if they can take more than one kid) before you even start with refreshments, programmes club shop etc
We had 7 Saturday home 3pm kick offs last season This is old news but the BBC are publishing stuff about the cost of football thats why its being dragged up now
