Following the (re)signing of Lawrie Wilson, as well as those of Danny Green and Danny Haynes, which ex-academy player would you all love to see re-sign for the club?

    Two rules:
    1) Cannot choose Jermaine Defoe or Scott Parker (too obvious)
    2) They have to still be playing.

    Michael Turner
    Wordsworth
    Shelvey
Maybe Camplell-Ryce. He made the wrong move after Barnsley, where he looked a very good Championship player. Signed with Notts County this summer so best of luck to him.

I genuinley can't think of any BUT isn't it strange how Osei Sankoffa has declined and never reached his potential? He weren't that bad eh?

Michael Turner would get my vote also. Him alongside Morrison would without doubt be one of the best CB pairings in the league.

    Shelvey.

Seen that he's signed a long-term contract with Liverpool and I can't think of a manager in the Prem better suited than Brendan Rodgers to develop his talents and bring out the best in him.

    Good luck, Jonjo. <ok>

    It is very strange, Kish.

Here's his Wiki entry - playing in the Conference South now - but look at his Junior International record!

    What happened?

A lot of youth internationals don't make it Tweaks, some kids develop and grow quickly between 14 & 18 and are far in front of their peers, others continue to develop between 18 & 21 and can overtake the early developers in their early 20's to become more rounded footballers. So it is not that some footballers go backwards, it is just that others develop slightly later in life.

I thought Sankofa did porridge for a while, something about being part of a gang even while on our books which might help explain why he's so far down the leagues now?
