http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...inancial-report-provides-reason-for-optimism/ Looking healthy.... but dependant on player sales.... I think we can expect similar sales in the summer..... Any views?/
We are spending more on players coming in than sales we have debts of 50M of which 45M is loans but why show a profit of 4M is the part i dont understand
Well if they have their way both Doucoure and Richarlison will be adding to those player sales this summer. The Pozzo model is to buy young prospects and then sell them on for a profit - probably like Chalobah and Hughes but our player spending is pretty inconsistent but then that is probably the same for every cluib! I guess so long as the Pozzos are interested in us we will keep going along nicely. Relegation or them suddenly leaving might be an issue!
When you look at some of the stats of Doucoure he up there with some very high value players so i think we will have to sell him at a reduced price because he will not sign a new contract and we cant let him run his contract down and then go on a free be .Richarlison is a good player that still has a long way to go before he could be looked apron as a good EPL player, He tries to do it all himself and thinks he is better than he currently is. But someone could pay 25M for him
here is out list of contracted players.... who should we sell to balance the books? I think Richarlison may go as his value against his current first time asset is questionable.... 2018 Miguel Britos Gerard Deulofeu (loan) Andre Carrillo (loan) Didier Ndong (loan) Molla Wague (loan) Orestis Karnezis (loan) 2019 Younes Kaboul Adrian Mariappa Heurelho Gomes Tommie Hoban Nordin Amrabat (currently on loan at Leganes) Costel Pantilimon (currently on loan at Nottingham Forest) 2020 Abdoulaye Doucoure Jose Holebas Daryl Janmaat Daniel Bachmann 2021 Roberto Pereyra Troy Deeney Christian Kabasele Stefano Okaka Kiko Femenia Sebastian Prodl Craig Cathcart Marvin Zeegelaar Jerome Sinclair Isaac Success (currently on loan at Malaga) 2022 Richarlison Andre Gray Will Hughes Tom Cleverley Etienne Capoue Nathaniel Chalobah Dodi Lukebakio
Bournemouth are currently negotiating a settlement in the region of 7m and QPR I think settled at lower than the original fine. How it works? In favour of the big boys as usual. I don't know all the ins and outs but it's based on turnover etc and what parts of that you are allowed to spend on transfers and this is also why they may look at how we filter our money. Steven Cums to Udinese and then back to Belgium - that sort of game by us is clever or dodgy whichever side of the line you want to be. All the various loans and transfers between us and the other 2 clubs i.e. Success. We have stayed the right side of those regulations so far.
for anyone who has a couple of hours spare and likes numbers and admin: https://www.watfordfc.com/club/ownership-old
If you look at the figures in detail you can see how the owners make money. The bulk of the loans are at base rate+6%
Best not upset them then! Mind goodness knows Chelsea would cope if Roman left them... Suspect many clubs these days rely on one or two people now.
Re Owners Leaving, You could pretty much argue the same for any club in the Premier League and probably most of the Championship too !!
5th highest spenders on agent fees - guess it's because we have so many players coming in or going out! http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...remier-leagues-biggest-and-outstrips-arsenal/
