Can you name the YEAR when each of these four BADGES came into play? In the picture on the top left, it is year that the corbel (badge on the wall) that's wanted BUT a bonus point is on offer for the year the Johnny Haynes statue was unveiled. please log in to view this image
Top right is 2000- the Haynes is 2008 I think- not sure about the bottom two. The corbel is a tough one- I don't know why I think 1925, it looks too new for that but cant get it out of my head!
Answers The Bonus Point - The Johnny Haynes statue was indeed 2008. It was unveiled before the Sunderland game on 18th October. And continuing anti-clockwise: The Cartouche - [My son tells me that this is what the badge on the wall is called, not a 'Corbel' as I had thought!] It was put there in 2004 during the re-development while we spent some time at that âother placeâ. There is a similar one at the opposite end of the Stevenage Road façade and in the middle one that simply says â1905â commemorating the opening of the original stand (the âRabbit Hutchâ) built by Archibald Leitch. please log in to view this image The Monogram - Was introduced in 1972 since the previous coat of arms was thought to be âold fashionedâ. It is probably best remembered as the badge worn on the shirts at the Cup Final. please log in to view this image The Crest - Was introduced in 1995. It was in fact a modern coloured take on the 1945 version. The 1995 crest although simplified for easy mass reproduction has a certain touch of class and of course marked the start of a significant period in the history of Fulham Football Club. The Shield - Was introduced for our first Premier League campaign in 2001. please log in to view this image
