Just to keep the afterglow going....... http://loftforwords.fansnetwork.co....lamity-gives-qpr-best-possible-start-–-report
Good report as always from Clive. Can't argue with any of his points, and the grief he puts Greens way is great......thankfully he's no longer our problem
It is amazing how much more enjoyable reports are after a good win. They never seem to drag on and are a pleasure to read. May we have many more!!!!
I think it's an unfair comment on Luongo. His good performances were when we looked like a professional side at the beginning of the season. He then got dumped out of the team immediately upon the arrival of Tozser and Angella, without the arriving two having to prove anything. He simply lost his place whilst on good form. I actually spoke to a friend of his who used to play for Wycombe Wanderers and he said Luongo was really disappointed with that whole situation. He was then drafted into the team again when we were, quite plainly, **** and shaking at the foundations. At this point, he was expected to come in with lower morale and somehow drag a dodgy team back to quality football by himself? How about we let this fine player actually have a fair shot at it this time? His reputation before coming to us speaks for itself.
I think what Clive is referring to is the amount of travel Luongo has to do on international duty. He'll be off to Australia and the Middle East a few times in September and October, and then some more in the spring.
Yes. But nonetheless, I don't think his inability to change the fate of QPR last season was down to that. If it was down to that he would have been fresh enough to play having been left out of a lot of games after Toszer turned up.
But why oh why does he have to write 'War and Peace' every time? Only joking. That would have been the response of one well known former poster
