I don't know about you Gooners, but this guy really got on my nerves last night. He basically spent 90 minutes verbally rimming Barcelona. I'm sure he was tossing himself off whilst watching. Some of the sycophantic dribble he was coming out with was cringeworthy and over the top. I think the worst was "They just build a triangle and put you in the middle". When it came to 9 o'clock, the wife wanted to switch over to Masterchef so I acquiesced, knowing that I'd be able to watch the match on ITV.com. Usually I'd be slightly miffed as I wouldn't be able to really listen to the commentary, but this time that was a blessing.
he's a ****. end of. well not end of...hes a prick who just uses cliche after cliche. now its end of.
If you was a commentator and you was watching Barcelona play, I'm sure you'd be shocked at the way their passing flows. Watching Iniesta and Xavi play around with the ball like their training, isn't that something anyone would cream over?
He goes massively over the top though. Just keeps repeating himself over and over. He must have said the word 'triangle' half a dozen times.
Yeah, but it's the way he sounds like he's so amazed by it, like he's seeing it for the first time. Everyone knows that Barca are the best passing team in the world. But he's supposed to be providing meaningful insights into the game, not acting like some star struck kid. "What's that Clive? Barca are passing the ball really well? And making it look easy? Well **** me I didn't expect that..."
to be honest the one thing that pissed me off was Viera and southgate, couldnt have got two worst pundits also rimming barca and all three stated barca would win in the end, so much for nutral even for viera scum. And the was instead of saying score viera often said 'scored' I.E before game started viera kept saying its important for arsenal to scored. numpty
Exactly. Even if he commentated on every Barca game from now until he kicked the bucket, I reckon he'd still be knocking one off every time. "Such ease of movement, such accuracy, every player able to receive the ball under pressure, you can't give the ball away- you won't get it back for 5 minutes etc etc et-****ing-cetera" zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
"After all, he is a self-confessed Man Utd fan"? What does that matter? Why would that make him cream himself over Barca?
