Both the Mirror: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/tra...for-Manchester-City-switch-article754141.html and The Independent: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ve-to-city-in-new-blow-to-wenger-2304664.html Are claiming that Clichy is on the verge of a 7m move to Man City. Liverpool were also very interested but had a 5m bid turned down earlier this month. Do you think Arsenal will sell to a Premier League rival? Should they??
In the end it doesn't matter who the club should and shoudn't sell to, if aplayer wants to go he will go to the club he fells he can settle into best. Arsne ha sto do what is best for the gunners, and if he feels that the £7 million that man City are offering is the best he is going to get then surely he has to accept that offer, bearing in mind that come Jan 1st 2012 Gael Clichy can sign a pre-contract agreement and leaver for a free transfer.
if its City bidding, I think we should hold out for at least 10m, because he is still a very decent LB
i'd rather he went abroad. definitely not in favour of a move to a rival. if they're looking, it means they're weak in that position and they think clichy could strengthen it.
...with the wind? ... in 60 seconds? ... fishing? .... to his local bakery to buy a chocolate eclair?
A short, but simple wum attempt I would of maybe put "Clichy, finally getting fed up with Arsenhole.... Manchester is his real love".... Just something around them lines
Bit harsh on Clichy, as frustrating as he may be he is not a terrible fullback. Although I think he should be moved on he still has been very loyal too us and he doesn't deserve to be laughed at.
To be fair Clichy and Nasri won't improve them massively, they aren't signings that would scare any rival team.
