Cleverly is nothing special

He strings a few passes together and suddenly he's a brilliant midfielder that's key to our success. Of course, he's not at the level of other players around his age like Jay Spearing, but he can still be a talent for us without a doubt.

Judging by his recent performances he is not even a Premier League player. I mean, if we are going to be relying on Cleverley (a 22-year-old who still hasn't got a run of games in the first team), then we must not be expecting to finish in the top four.

He's nothing special. He looked good before his injury at the start of season. If Cleverly went out of contract tomorrow, he wouldn't even turn up on the radar of most big clubs and strong teams out there, because he is average.

That has **** all to do with what I said. The fact is cleverley had a harder time getting into the united team when he was 17 because we were simply better than united in general over those years, ramsay would not have got into it then either.

Xavi was average at 22. Scott Parker was not worth mentioning in his younger days. Midfielders mature at different ages. Cleverley has got an eye for a quick pass and that's important to the United set up, takes the reliance off the wingers. Not to mention that he has a good eye for one-twos and being mentored by Scholes will help him.
