Seems like Tom Cleverley is almost a done deal, terms have been offered and agreed....

To be completed at the end of the week by all accounts

With Rodgers in charge I would think he would pay £50m

Well that's your opinion. Maybe we pulled out as £8m for a squad player was too highly.

    'Turbo Gash'

This is a guy who has played for England and won medals, hell he will be free

Who would you like, remembering we need some solution to Ossie and Pienaar who are only goin to compete about half the games we play

I agree, he lacks quality in every area a poor player.

We need a new winger to replace Pienaar that aint Cleverely mate.

Ossie is a tough one to replace as he's way underated by many Blues. Cleverley hasn't got anywhere near his quality imo.

I think he's a crap signing, another Martinez 'Wigan' level buy, same as Alcaraz and Kone.

Who would I buy? I've not got a Worldwide team of scouts, but I'd have been looking for someone with more about them than a lad who had a petition made with 25,000 signatures on it, against him being in the England squad ffs. He's proper MEH mate.

His own hated him as much as anyone else in fairness.

I don't see what he brings to the squad as he's useless in the holding role and only looks even vaguely useful when playing higher up the pitch, and with the likes of Barkely et al ahead of him, I don't see where he fits in.

It's also another lazy buy by Martinez, another player he worked with at Wigan and who's just been part of a side that stayed up by the skin of it's teeth.

Where's the ambition and imagination? I dread to see who else he's got lined up.........

Who does he have in mnd?

I would expect Lennon to come in and Kev to go.

Pienaar was never a winger, he didn't have the pace or a left foot but made do by teaming up with Baines on the overlap.

Global scouting networks mean nothing, look at the tosh the Liverpool scouts had a hand in

I dont think he is quite Kone or Alcaraz to be fair although I dont think he will set the world alight he could do ok for us hopefully...If he doesnt play well/fit in he can be flogged on so worth a gamble for free I think
