Gutted! Honestly think he will get us out of current mess but continued mid table mediocrity will continue for years to come.

Even now I wouldn't swap places, I've had a lot to cheer and a lot of glory to celebrate following Town, I hope we get back there one day, but it's better to have experienced that than never to have experienced it at all.

Mick McCarthy will be a fanstastic appointment given our current circumstances and I will be a very happy Townie if and when his appointment is confirmed.

How can this be true Hampy because you are an armchair fan that never attends games ?

If it is McCarthy, will you start going to games or will there be other excuses for non-attendance ?

I honestly think if Norwich don't want to be in the same **** (again) that Town are in now, you should be interviewing too.

Hughton is a great Championship manager, when he has the backing and funding of a club like the mighty Toon, but Premiership?! Look at the results thus far.

We're looking to the future. Norwich can't see past the end of their respective noses.

Revel in our current position boys, because come the end of the season you'll be in the Championship and wondering how you're gonna stay up.

And there'll be one less manager available to bail you out. And sales of Moab Is My Washpot ain't gonna pay for the sort of players you'll need to stay afloat.

    Nighty night

Looking to the future? Are you serious?

With Mick McCarthy? Like you looked to the "future" with Paul Jewell after Keane?

Do me a favour, that is not looking to the future that's look firmly at the past. Just admit it, you have gone for a no nonsense manager that will hopefully get you out of clink. Nothing wrong with that but don't try and dress it up and make it look like something it is not.

We might get relagated at the end of the season if we do I would much rather have Hughton as our manager and be totally debt free and have parachute payments to help us get back up again.
