Here are the players that were names in our starting 11 or were on the bench.
I've added in Gouff, Bigi, Cisse, Raylor, Obertan and Colo to make it representative of pretty much what we could have picked from if all were fit plus I've put Jonas in as he is on loan.
Pards indicated a big clearout is needed in the summer as he rebuilds another team.

Who would you get rid of.... or retain as might be the easiest comment to make?

    Krul
    Debuchy
    Santon
    Dummett
    Tiote
    Williamson
    S.Taylor *
    Sissoko
    Anita
    Marveaux *
    Sh.Ameobi *
    Ben Arfa *
    Sa Ameobi
    De Jong
    Yanga-Mbiwa
    Haidara
    Elliot *
    Armstrong
    Gouff
    Bigi
    Obertan *
    Cisse *
    Raylor
    Colo * (indicated he's leaving)
    Jonas *

I've put a * against the ones I think will go or be sold and I get to 9 players.

Benni should fetch £8m-10m hopefully and the rest we would be lucky to see £5m between them.

    Who would you let go?

You're probably close to the mark with who will leave. For my part, although faith in them is at an all time low I still think that Ben Arfa and Marv could come good, if utilised correctly. Ben Arfa looks very poor in the number 10, less effective on the left but dangerous on the right. Marveaux is I think our best option for the number 10 role. Sticking with the tactic we were playing before Cabaye left but using Marv in Cabaye's place makes more sense than changing the tactic and using Ameobi anywhere.

If Pardew is going to ditch that system and go back to 4-4-2 then Cisse should be before Ameobi. He is a player that I have been writing off, he has been so poor for so long, but I've heard comments from Dutch football fans that de Jong might be the sort of partner who could get the best out of him.

pretty much agree with all of them.

santon would be better utilized on the left wing and play haidara at lb instead

We'd have to pay to get rid of Obertan.

Simple fact is, this team is not good enough. We won't get a replacement as good as Cabaye to replace him. There are players who need to go but Ashley, Kinnear and Pardew need to go first.

Cisse probably isn't being played because we are trying to flog him to a Russian team but even if we did play him he wouldn't score. Not because he doesn't have the ability - its because from now on it going to be glorious long ball city for the rest of the season. Cisse is a talent but his confidence is shot and the man management from Pardew has been terrible.

Can you imagine what it does to be played first constantly out of position despite having a wonderul half season just to appease a f**king sulking w**ker in Ba who would later piss off down to Chelsea? Then score the goals that bascially kept us up last year and get no real thanks for it? Then sitting on the bench while that piece of useless **** Shola gets played ahead of you? Yet despite all of that you still want to stay and fight for your place but the ****s to be want you gone? Doesn't seem too fair does it?

The spastic fans i've seen on Twitter before the Derby saying 'Get rid' or 'I'll drive him there myself' while we are playing Shola and calling him 'Mackem slayer' are just f**king braindead ******s.

I would add Santon to your list. I think it's important we buy two wingers that can actually cross a ball and take on their man instead of 'hardworkers' that will just track back and help the full backs.

    Krul
    Debuchy
    Santon
    Dummett
    Tiote
    Williamson
S.Taylor (but if his agent pulls any more funny business...)
    Sissoko
    Anita
Marveaux (should be given a chance)
    Sh.Ameobi **
Ben Arfa * (too light for the middle, too selfish for out wide, sell for decent money)
Sa Ameobi * (a try hard but should probably move on before he gets much older)
    De Jong
    Yanga-Mbiwa
    Haidara
Elliot (unless we find a better GK willing to sit on the bench)
    Armstrong
    Gouff
Bigi (MASSIVE future here if he wants it)
Obertan * (give him one last chance but his heart isn't in it)
Cisse * (may come good again but sell while the bids are high)
Raylor * (okay player, good at set-pieces but one too many injuries past useful)
Colo (think we should fight for him to stay)
Jonas * (good servant to the club but his wages are too high for a backup player)

    *Should try to sell
**Give the key to the city

He made noises about being happy to stay for the length of his contract recently. It would be good if we can keep him - he'd be very expensive to replace with equal quality.

I'd like to give Marv a few games in the 10 slot myself. His distribution always looks better than Benni's. Would agree with all the rest of your choices though.

Agree with the list, or most of it. Wouldn't keep Santon if it's a LB we need . Two better defenders in Dummett & Haidara. Should get about £8m for him. Much as I like Hatem I feel he isn't for us as long as Pardew is manager. Still doesn't know his best position after all this time.
Don't need Elliot, better young keepers coming thru' to sit on the bench. Add Tavernier to your list as probably Championship, however, I would keep Vukic for one more season.

This is where all eyes are for me. Who the fck is going to hang around, who's going, etc.

GK: Krul might go, Elliott's not good enough.
RB: Debuchy's being flaunted by the French media FAO: PSG, we don't have suitable cover.
CB: Colo's probably done as of this Summer, MYM was his replacement, leaves us short by one and woefully reliant on Willo keeping it up or Saylor fulfilling his potential. At 28 years of age...
LB: Ah, finally some respite. Arguably we might as well sell Santon if we're not going to play him LM.
DM: Tiote might also go, with Man U rumoured to be interested. We don't have another DM, really.
CM: Anita is fairly key here; we don't really have any other options, unless Sissoko somehow mysteriously becomes Yaya Toure. Woefully short on younger or backup players here (Bigi/Gosling?!)
RM: Sissoko's number one here. Our most talented player, unfortunately, also plays here. Either Sissoko becomes CM, or Ben Arfa's sold.
LM: Should be Santon, Gouff's adequate but not really a wide player. Sammy - all the skill in the World, but will he have his brother's application? Not an area of concern, though.
No10: If this is what Pards wants, we're knackered. Had to wait for Cabaye to do it right, then sold him. No-one able to do it - wish Benny could, solves a big problem, but form suggests otherwise. No-one else has the skillset.
CF: Fcked. Shola, crap and gone. Cisse, nearly as crap but gone. Remy, all but gone. De Jong, Campbell and Armstrong. That's a relegation strikeforce.

In the worst possible scenario, we're looking for a first choice keeper, right back, centre back, defensive midfielder, number 10 and centre forward. 6 "purples' just to stand still. Unlikely to face an absolute worst case - we might hang on to Krul and Tiote. However, we're still 4 first teamers short, plus at least another 4 to make the squad competitive.

We'll see on September 1st whether football's worth watching anymore, I suppose.

Good evening squire and welcome :)

I think HBA is a luxury we can't carry anymore.
He's do well in a set up like Arsenal's or Man City.
Marv.. well cleary he is'nt a favourite of Pardew so it's more about losing a player who will hardly ever be played.
