5 in the last 8 league games now apparently, Mannone is making a statement!

    Sunderland Team
Mannone, Celustka, Diakite, Roberge, Bardsley, Cattermole, Larsson, Ki, Colback, Borini, Fletcher
Subs: Dossena, Cabral, Johnson, Altidore, Ba, Giaccherini, Pickford.

When i saw that team, i must admit i thought 'oh ****'. It's a strange game, Mannone was class, the 2 new lads at the back also did well. Ki i thought was excellent in the 1st half..

Johnson on the bench didn't get on, Gardner not in the squad, maybe some clues there.

The puzzling one is Giach, i'm still at a loss with him. Catts back as captain, should he keep it?

Just think where we'd be if we'd put a few chances away at the other end as well.

Gus has solved or repaired the defensive frailties and now needs to address the attacking failings which I am sure he will.

Our clean sheets are something to be very chuffed about and coupled with a few of our rivals leaking lots of goals, our once poor GD is beginning to look a whole lot better too in comparison to those rivals.

Might be worth mentioning we've only lost 3 times in our last 10 games.

We need a couple more home goals to raise the tension.

Imagine if we get the right players in in January? He who dares Rodney, he who dares my son!

Yep. A reality slap required here. We aren't out of the sh** yet lads. Looking very promising but let's just keep it real.
