As the title says ref Mark Clattenburg has officially been cleared. Very topical this week with Suarez here on the weekend. I don't think any of us on here believed it to begin with and good for the game that a well known ref has been cleared of racism.

I'd like to know why it has taken so long by the FA to clear him. Just hope now they throw the book at them, they have tarnished Clattenburg reputation by bringing these charges against him. I hope he can get back to work and fans across the country give him a break.

I'd be more than happy to have Clattenburg reffing us. I can't remember who against last season but he did award us a penalty.

I've no problem with him either Dilli. Think he's been given a raw deal, innocent until proven guilty and they suspend him for 4 weeks?, then to clear him.

if Chelsea had got a draw against United, i doubt we'd ever have heard a word about it. Can't understand why it took so long for the decision, think we were all expecting him to be cleared.

I quite like him as a ref, his big fault in that game was he got a big decision wrong, which is infinitely better than most other refs in those situations you see every single week. A blatant dive and the ref doesnt give a foul, doesnt give a foul against for diving and just turns away hoping no one noticed that he was supposed to make a decision. I'd rather have a ref that was brave enough to make big decisions in big games cus at least you can believe he won't bottle it.

Can we have him on Sunday, gonna need a very strong ref to deal with Suarez.

We've got Moss on Sunday but I would have been happy to get Clattenburg or even Dowd again. I think all the refs are clued up to the diver from Liver

Will heads roll at Chelsea for this...or has it already happened?
Could/should the FA reveal the details of the investigation? It would be interesting to know what was said, and what was perceived to have been said.
I read somewhere (maybe on here) that Clattenburg responded to Mikel's appeals with "I couldn't give a monkeys" which was obviously taken the wrong way and was thought to have been a racist insult.
I think Clattenburg deserves to have the findings made public

I actually believe that the way Chelski handled it, a la Dalglish, helped make up Romans mind over Di Matteo, he was always going to go but criticism and problems in the dressing room surely hastened the chop for him.
