Mark Clattenburg has aplogised to Chelsea for 2 calamitous mistakes that gave Man U an undeserved win on Sunday. " My first big mistake was yellow carding Rooney. I though his "from behind" tackle had broken the Chelsea players' legs, which is a yellow card even for a Utd player. But when it proved only to be minor, it was too late , and the booking had to stand. My second mistake was to yellow card another Utd player for diving. I was so muddled, I meant to yellow card and send off Mikel, but since I'd already racially abused him, I thought it might go bad for me, so ,unfortunately , the Man U player got the yellow. By way of compensation ,I allowed an offside goal to stand, Fortunately my touchy knew, and kept his flag down anyway, which saved me over riding him. So sorry, Chelsea, next time I will try harder. We all make mistakes. "
