    Glaswegians are the UK's biggest spenders over the festive season, according to a new study.

    The research reveals that Glasgow residents will spend £2,686 on average on everything from parties to presents this Christmas.

    Surprisingly London and Edinburgh were revealed to be the UK's thriftiest cities - spending £1,000 less than people from Glasgow.

    Glasgow - good ****s
    Edinburgh - tight arsed ****s
    London - complete and utter scum
