"The Football Association has rejected Manchester City's appeal against Vincent Kompany's red card in the 3-2 FA Cup defeat by Manchester United. The defender, 25, will serve a four-match ban immediately for his two-footed tackle on Nani." This tackle was pretty well identical to the one made by Coventry's WOOD on Albert in the third minute of the Boxing Day game. So who was right? The dope with the whistle at the Ricoh or the one at Man City? IMO the one who sent Kompany off and condemned them to early cup exit. But how different the Championship table would probably look now if the ref at Coventry had sent Wood off and given us a penalty.
Got to say Kompany did look like a straight red to me! that sort of challenge is always asking for trouble!
