Can you remember the last time Saints came to AG? When in the dying seconds of the game, when we were winning 1-0, they had a corner and their keeper came forward. Basso caught it and immediately released Ivan Sproule, who rather than make a bee-line for goal, decided to run the length of the pitch right up to the byline hugging the left touchline! I have NEVER heard so much noise at the gate - everyone (saints fans excepted) shouting 'shoot' at one time! GJ said afterwards he thought Sproule would take the ball off the pitch, down the tunnel and out into the carpark! He actually cut inside at the last second and put it away! I made myself hoarse! Thanks Ivan - happy memory.
