City seem to hold a hoodoo over them at home.

Since Phil Dwyer's header beat them in 1976 City have won every home fixture. Granted they have not met that often but City just seem to come up with the goods.

Anyone remember Glenn Loovens dumping a 16 year old Theo Walcott into the touchline on a New Years Eve or a Steve Thompson late winner against a team including Gareth Bale and Kenwyne Jones, and a Kenny Miller double a few seasons back?

My favourite though was when a star studded Saints team came to Ninian Park in the spring of 1978 looking for a routine away win to cement their promotion charge. Alan Ball, Mick Mills, Mick Channon etc under Lawrie McMenemie were humbled by a Ray Bishop strike as City fought off relegation.

This Saints team though will take some beating but it can be done if City go for their defence ,and snuff out the counterattacking prowess of Lalanna and others. A raucous CCS atmosphere may be the 12th man!

Thanks for those memories Nin. <ok>

It will be a tough one but Spurs showed they have weaknesses at the back so if we can get at them the pooints can be ours.

I would love to see Noonie running at their centre backs (preferably with the ball). If Adebayor can put the ****s up them then what can someone with Noonie's pace and trickery do?

I agree in part, but Adebayor was back to his best yesterday. It shows what a prick he is that he's had his head up his arse for 1.5 seasons then Sherwood whispers in his ear and he's a world beater again. Bit off topic but that young CM they brought on was quality!

Any prizes for guessing what the loving words were that Sherwood uttered?

How about "If your lazy arse doesn't start performing, never mind playing with the development squad you'll be cleaning the f**king toilets behind the Park Lane end".

We only had one out of our first choice back 5 playing against spurs, so we were absolutely useless. If we are forced to play Gazzaniga, Fox and Hooiveld again you will win this easily. All three are beyond poor.

Still gave Spurs a good run for their money. They seem to have become more positive with AVB departing and Sherwood temporarily in charge.

To be honest mate, I thought Spurs were very average. We were just worse. I watched your lot against Liverpool, and I was very impressed with how you rallied second half. The support for Mckay was tremendous as well. I really feel like we are playing you at the wrong time, you will be well up for this game after Tan's antics.

Have fun everyone that's going! I will have to try and find a stream to watch from behind a cushion with a squeaky bum as I think you're a really good side.

The keeper is longer term isn't he with a hand injury? Shaw was ill on the morning of the game so you've got to think he'll be back. Who is out for Hooiveld?

Spurs away record is very impressive but I thought that side was there for the taking if you'd been at it 100%. Where was Wanyama?

Wanyama picked up a hairline fracture, so he's out til the me of jan! You're right, our keeper Boruc has a broken hand. The media have their usual big-club bias and are reporting it like Spurs were amazing user Sherwood, but nothing at all was said about our injury crisis! Even with a full strength team, your place is a difficult place to go, so I would be very happy with a point on Boxing Day. Good luck for the rest of the season (after the 26th of course :))

Hopefully we will have fonte, shaw, clyne, Davis in goal, and Osvaldo back for this one. And the quicker wanyama and boruc come back, the better! We just aren't the same team without them. If the ones above are in the starting 11 I fancy us just about, but if we play hooiveld, fox and gazzaniga, then merry Christmas Cardiff city, 3 points from the saints

S'ton are vey strong this year lads, it is not an impossible task by any means but this will be a very tough game for Cardiff. I know you guys are aware if this already, even the Top 4 teams would be careful playing this team. It should be an entertaining match, is it on TV?

    PS. Merry Xmas lads!

I agree, when our full team is available we can beat anyone, but with the clowns we got at the back at the moment, Cardiff should go into this game very confident. And unfortunately it's not on televison
