Premier League: Hull City v Norwich City match preview

Despite predictions of a thrashing, Steve Bruce’s Hull City team came away from Jose Mourinho’s Premier League return relatively unscathed. Promising shifts from £5 million signing Tom Huddlestone and adventurous Egyptian full-back Ahmed Elmohamady showed glimmers of hope for what will be a difficult season. With the exception of Abdoulaye Faye and Stephen Quinn, Bruce finds himself with an almost fully fit squad to choose from.

Norwich City took their total summer transfer haul to eight players on Wednesday when former Bolton striker Johan Elmander signed on a season-long long from Galatasaray. Chris Hughton’s side contributed to an entertaining 2-2 draw at Everton – courtesy of late winner by Ricky van Wolfswinkel – but the Canaries will be in for a difficult contest at the KC Stadium, having lost seven of their last ten away fixtures. Dutch midfielder Leroy Fer looks set to make his Norwich debut after serving a suspension, and both Sebastien Bassong and Robert Snodgrass could both feature after missing out against Everton.

Danny Graham, who had a rather dismal Sunday afternoon in West London last weekend, scored against Norwich City as a Watford player whilst plying his trade in the Championship; Graham will wish to register on the score sheet as soon as possible, having now gone 17 games without a Premier League goal.

Well as I've stated before, my changed shift patterns mean I'll only be able to make a handful of games this season. Happy to say I'll be making this one and i'm well looking forward to it.

I'll be half inching my brothers season pass too. He's off to Wembley. So that means east stand rather than a general sale ticket in west.

This of course means I'll have to delay my experiment on what level of vulgarity I can get away with in the west.

I heard a rumour that they have tartan blanket stalls in the west instead of bars. Can anyone confirm this?

Actually, that's just a story we put out to make sure none of the riff-raff get in and eat our steak and ale pies(with peas and gravy), or our hand pulled bitter.
