Fair play to the agent, he has played a blinder. He has got Toulouse to name their price, and then touted his client to the English Premier League clubs with Cardiff's bid used as a marker for a bigger club; in this instance Tottenham to come in and entice the player away.
Yes, the ba$tard. If there is one good thing from this it is that our intentions are clearly shown. We want good talented players and are prepared to pay reasonable money for them. Against this, when the big bclubs come in there is little we can do to stop them. However, I see Capoue as a squad player at Spurs with the likes of Holtby and Huddlestone, if he stays there, so he won't be in the starting 11 each week. That may slow his ambitions a little. I read yesterday that he also plays centre back so he may have a dual covering role there due to their cb shortage after Caulker's sale, Vertongen's injury, doubts over Kaboul's fitness and the Roumanian cb, Chirches, saying he wants to go to Italy. In reality, Spurs probably got played there as well as a deal seemed to be in place for Spurs to sign him last week.
Not really unexpected to be fair, I think we all knew he was waiting for a higher profile team to approach him.
Quicker we get the "NO's" out of the way the better. The lesson here is those that want time to consider aren't worth the wait (Capoue,Ince) and those that don't need time (Caulker) are the players we want.
yep if they stall, fk em off.................we don't need mercenaries anymore.......and if we didn't find the players wewant then I would promote some of the yunkers hungry 2 impress
