...........yet they are safely sitting in mid table.

This season's defence is comfortably the worst I have seen at the City for a very long time.

    Unforgiveable.:emoticon-0114-dull:

It is common knowledge that to remain in this league, you need to start from the back. A granite like defence[ and defensive midfield] was an essential, and City tried to get through the season with last season's defence plus Caulker and the haphazard T-Catherine, incompetent Fabio and untested Brayford.

Can't argue with any of that Nin.

Wonder what will happen to Brayford now? I don't think the Blades have the money to buy him - surely we would want most of our money back.

He was rated the best full back in the Championship either last season or the one before. He is now clearly match fit after a good half season with the Blades.

Can whatever happened between him and players/management at City be put behind them and can he do the job we bought him for, albeit in the Championship?

both full backs whoever plays, are dodgy, we can't keep the ball, the centre back pairing is not quite sharp enough to deal with the challenges faced….

i thought we were reasonable in defence under mackay, it was a team effort and the team was set up to keep the score down. its not surprising that now we have to go out and attack, we get exposed time after time, and we concede goals for fun nowadays.

It isnt just the amount of goals we have conceded, it is the manner of them. I am less offended by deflected goals, as they at least involve a defender throwing his body in the way of a shot (generally). I am far, far more bothered by goals which bobble about in our box and 1 attacker manages to find space in amongst 4, 5 or 6 completely static defenders. Or the crosses into the box for a totally unmarked attacker (think hull's 3rd goal at the CCS this season was the most angry I have ever been at a goal conceded. The one game I watched this season where I truely believed I could do a job in our defence.)

To think what our GD would look like if we didnt have Marshall...
