Not a bad weekend then - not worried about Liverpool gaining a point but nice for City to drop 2! Even nicer is that neither of the 2 Manc's clubs can level with us even if they win their game in hand.
Hopefully Everton and Swansea can drop points next weekend so that we can be top going into the internationals.
Liverpool made City look poor, they simply couldn't handle Liverpool's high pressing. Liverpools 3 man midfield completely bossed City's 4 man midfield.
Usual Pool result tho they play well against top teams and are next to usless against mid table sides they should beat .
Uefa Supercup that friday I think for Chelsea. Plus they already played the game on wednesday I think, someone will confirm if the reading game was moved from next weekened to last wednesday
Good going forward but not as good at the back at times. Not as bad as us mind, nobody can be as bad as us in defence right now Hazard looks class, be interesting to see him against the better sides over the course of the season.
Yeah I noticed that they played 3 just thought it was sky messing about with the tv games. In theory we could be top next week, not that it matters really. Just be happy with 9 points
We should have done enough to be above Everton. I can't see them being able to win at WBA by a margin of more than 2 goals. As for Swansea I don't think they'll win but who knows. If they get a win and come back from the internationals unscathed I can't see them going down. They'll only need another 9 wins from their next 35 and with the home games they have and easy aways like Villa to come they'll get that easily
City have been slow off the mark, they were only marginally better than us in the Charity Shield even with an extra man. Still early days, another 3 games and extra fitness will see how we are all travelling. We are improving every game, but have a puzzle to sort out our best team, so we might take longer to hit our top form. So far, excellent.
Our results are fine, but we're making hard work of it! I'm sure every game will see continuing improvement--but I think that goes for the Mancs as well!
