....ok, was over forty years ago, but was the first away game I ever went to with my old dad, and I found the programme recently. Some great memories there, thought a few of you might like to see it. Click to enlarge
That was some team all right. Great memory, one of many, of course! I think I've put this up before, but here's a clip anyway: I remember I had one of those wooden rattle things. Though it was before the advent of bad hooliganism, an old boy nearby suggested I hide it on the way out, otherwise I may have to stand on the coach on the way home! Not sure what he meant!
Was only a couple of years after that i went to my first City game. Ah...the days of dad passing me down the front of the South stand with either my little stool or milk crate to stand on.
Just a bit of personal nostalgia JWM, nothing wrong with that. We're in a higher league now, so things are great, unlike you who ONLY have the past to cheer about.
I was there too! Brown, I remember, had just joined City from Spurs and was trying to put a brave face on being surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane and having to drop down a division. He couldn't quite believe the result.
