The optimist in me wants an away win so we would be only 5 points from second place, but the realist in me wants a thumping Arsenal defeat and keep us 6 points ahead of a potential rival for 4th place...What do you want to happen?

    City. We're not finishing 2nd.

Or 1st before anyone gets any ideas.

City win, no question. We have a chance of top 4 but no chance of top 2 so keep the gap over one of the strongest challengers to our CL dreams is best

6-3 City (Sanchez FPL captain, changed it from Costa to Sanchez for some reason!).

Why settle? A draw would do nicely. That will leave us six points off City - why not aim high? Aim for 4th and we might miss CL.

    I'm aiming for third personally.

A 14-0 win for City would be a positive start.

Draw ideally, but City win much more preferable to Arsenal win.

I'm not greedy...3rd or 4th would do nicely. City to win and make a mess of their goal differential.

Thumping Arsenal defeat all day.....we're in a good place and there's lot of big hitters who want our spot.

Before yesterday Man U had the same number of points as last year and were 7th. We're having a fantastic season but also capitalising by other teams inconsistency, some of whom were chasing the title this time last year.

I fail to see how anyone wouldn't have a thumping City win as their number one ideal outcome.

In order of preference: As always, a draw, for the lost point. Next, an Arsenal win. ManC have and can stumble, and I'd like Saints to have every chance of catching them. And if we are to catch them, then Arsenal getting three points today won't mean anything at all. Worst result, but a very close third, is a ManC win. If we aren't to catch ManC then having Arsenal further back will be a nice bonus.

As far as I'm concerned today, our situation improves slightly in one way or another, depending how one looks at things.
