Got to be said if he does not want to play for us then bye bye.

certainly don't want players here not committed to the cause.

He has had plenty of time to make his mind up,obviously seeking pastures new.

I say look elsewhere Del Boy we don't need him that badly.

would be a shame to see him go i thought he was on of the more improved players last season. But totally agree we dont want him just to pick up his wages we need players who are going to fight for the team week in week out.

No, He's a big miss. I hope he signs for us, you cant blame him for trying to get the best deal he can, at the end of the day we have let his contract run out.

I hope he signs and gets fully fit, then we will have a genuine championship quality midfielder.

In fairness to Shiny I do think Marv is a better all round player than Cisse but Cisse is probably one of the best defensive mdifielders in teh league that if you give him a job to sit in front of the defence he will make it difficult to get past him.
And yes Marv has now picked one too many injuries now which I hope he can over come. Unfortunately I dont know what the problem is with our club but we do have so many players who get injured. The three worse being Ribs (just released) Wilson and Fontain. All three could have been first team starters if not for injuries.

The problem with Cisse is he has been told by the club that if he stays at the club he will have to take a pay cut. How many of us would be over the moon if our bosses told us to take a pay cut so I think he is in the right to look at his options and praise the club for not shutting the door and giving him the freedom to decide. You could also look at it that clubs have had months now to offer him a contract but still nothing so would not rule out him signing a 12 month contract.

If Cisse goes that's a quality player we've lost and he's entitled to consider all options, good luck to him and I really hope he stays.

Cisse is decent, but we already have 2 defensive midfield players - Elliott and Skuse - other areas of the team need addressing more - let's not be held to ransom

Cisse is better than Elliot in my opinion..

Not only has he to consider things from a financial point of view, but he spent many long hours out of the team and on the bench due to personal differences and pettiness from our previous manager. Does he hold fond memories of our club? I doubt it..

    Real shame, he is quality.

I cant see how he is holding anyone to ransom though?

just think marv gives us more of a threat, granted cisse was a great defensive player, but he couldn't pick out a pass, and when we had cisse and marvin in the same team, one would have to step up and be creative, unfortunately for marvin he isnt a creative midfielder, but he gives a presence in our half, and the opposite team, he will run all game, which cisse can not, hence why he always gets subbed, so if we could get a creative midfielder who can also put in a tackle, we will see a great side to elliott, which is why i would have him in the team. Plus marvin can grab us 7+ goals a season

    Not being bias

    like wise :D

lets look at it like this

    Whos better attacking - Marv

Whos better in the air - Marv

Who works the hardest - Marv

Whos a better defensive midfielder - Cisse

and dont you dare disagree with me <laugh>

but in all seriousness the above statements are true, which is why i would have him over cisse every day of the week
