Not religion based this time ladies and gents so lets try and keep that out of it. http://www.journallive.co.uk/north-east-news/todays-news/2012/10/06/61634-31977577/ It is though, in the same vein as the Bigirimana interview i posted the other day. Basically it highlights to me the fact that we must have one of the most down to earth, well mannered teams in the world. He even says Cheick isn't a complete nutter off the pitch? What I am intrested in is the effect it must have (on people like HBA, Ranger and the youngsters who think that playing football makes them "god's gift" (see what i did there)) having players like these around the training pitch and the club. Anyway enjoy.
Nice read. I'm surprised, he hasnt scored a hattrick for Freiburg or us yet... And to think some buggers are asking for pay hikes to over 200k per week...And Cisse contributes back to his roots... Great to see our lads know how lucky they are
I get the impression this is the mentality of the entire squad (bar Ranger) at the moment. I remember when H.B.A. turned up people were excited but most were hesitant about his attitude but he has been as good as gold for us so far. Never causes controversy or speaks out of turn. Maybe he use's all his pent up rage while on international duty but I have a feeling they are breeding a professionalism and ideology at the club that will hopefully stick for years to come.
Re: HBA Some time back, there was an article where Cabaye talked about HBA at the Euros. He said that was not the HBA he knew. What that meant we aren't sure, is it the HBA who argued, or the HBA who kept himself quiet in order to play to tactics and hide his brilliant talent, I'm not sure. I tend to think, maybe biased, that Cabaye meant that HBA played for the team and was less of himself on the pitch... Whereas at SJP, he is given more of a free rein.
