My idea of the best player at the club. Absolute class.

I have been wondering about him pushing into one of the 2 holding / pivot roles. Wonder what people think. He seems to me to have a brilliant passing ability, not just range but technique. He smashes it into his player, which is what you want, none of this roll it in rubbish. He has a great sense of when to carry the ball. He has improved massively in terms of his danger awareness.

We really only have Neil and Evans for me. I havent seen a new lad who looks ready for that area, which is arguably the most important part in a team. Michut might be one for there, but looks a bit naieve yet. Cirkin is so bloody good at everything, could he step in there?

I understand the thinking but generally I don’t like the idea of moving people out of position when they’re doing so well in the position they’re in

I think you would lose the attacking threat he gives down the left hand side which would stiffle his game personally

I'd leave him where he is personally. I think LB/LWB is his best position, with Jack Clarke ahead of him it's an awesome left side tbh.

Cirkin has got the lot, passing, pace, strength, tackling and good in the air. At 20 years old in his second season of men's footy its pretty frightening tbh.

If/when he starts getting goals and assists it will definitely alert the top table (if it hasn't already)

Cirkin is class and is destined for the PL. I'm not sure I see him as a CDM, he is so good running into space and playing what's in front of him. That's a lot harder in CM where you are mainly receiving the ball on the half turn. I get why you think he would be good in there, I just think he's different class at LB and will only get better.

I actually think we would be more suited to 1 sitting, dont think our no10's score enough goals so would prefer 2 box to box players instead

i think he is hitting that 'almost undroppable' tag and has made that position his own which has fans thinking he is way ahead of where they would expect him to be but he is still a young lad with plenty learning still in front of him...not that i doubt the lad could do it, i just think that he will do better where he feels 'comfortable' at least for the time being.

i like your point in final paragraph. Can see an argument for Pritchard swapping out for Ba and having Evans sit with Ba or Embleton alongside Neil or Michut

I don't want him to change positions but I do think he's the kind of player who could move around the pitch and do well. He's an intelligent and well rounded player.

I've always said we could have done with a 3rd striker like.

He’s superb. I’d be shocked if he was still here beyond next summer.

Can’t disagree. Clear quality at a great age. Should be many in for him.

So, is it 6 for Cirkin and 8 for Stewart in January and both away? Excited to see who we get in as replacements.

We have no choice if Spurs come in for Cirkin at that price, hopefully he sees playing time here as more important and doesn't entertain it but if we lose him can't be helped.

But Stewart on the other hand I will be pissed off if we let him go for £8 million. He is worth more even at a fair price but imo he is so important to us we should have a bit of a silly figure in mind, try to put teams off!

I said the other week there are plans for us to get players in develop them and sell at a profit but some players should coke along that the club look at and say actually they are too hard to replace they aren't for sale unless it's silly money! The data guys should be involved here and saying looking at what Stewart contributes to the game we will not replace what he brings!

Its football and everyone has their price, I think we over rate some of our players but Stewart is some player, so sell on clauses should be brought into play if he is determined to leave, personally I dont think Cirkin is ready to go any higher just now and I would welcome 6m tbh. If we do bring in players in the window I would hope we get one or two Danny Batth's in key positions, especially in the mid field areas where for me the balance is not quite right or up to the task atm.

The Stewart injury might have given us the luxury of keeping him until the summer. Either a club will want to do detailed scouting on him and they haven't seen enough at this level or he's a signing for a club preparing to panic buy in which case we can add another 50% on to the price.

I'm very happy with the recruitment so far and over the long term, I'm not worried about losing anyone. But I think the 2 mentioned are amongst our 3 prize assets and it's a huge void in the team. I wouldn't expect any replacements to have an immediate impact which might be cause for concern this season.

We should be negotiating a loan back deal on Cirkin at the very least.
