Charles Green has accused Scottish football's authorities of pursuing an agenda against Rangers. The chief executive, addressing fans queuing to buy their season tickets on Tuesday, said he intended to continue to defend his club, even if it meant incurring the wrath of the Scottish FA. Green is already facing a charge for claiming the decision to place Rangers in the Third Division was partly driven by âbigotryâ but says he won't stop speaking his mind. âWe're not having, excuse my French, people taking the pee out of us anymore,â said Green. âIt's finished. âI will give you an example. This morning, I had a phone call from the SPL telling us we can't put our old games on the website because we don't own the archive rights. â'And by the way, Charles, don't get angry. You shouldn't think we are being vindictive, it's just what the agreement says". âTell me how I took that? I was walking on the ceiling. I think there is an agenda. âThere's still battles to be won. I shan't let you down. I said to someone earlier that when everyone was against us, we stayed. People are now warming to us and we are staying. âBut if we leave fans to one side for a moment, while ever that lot are against us, I'm not leaving. There's no-one spoke for this club for three or four years. It's not had anyone standing up. âI am going to get fined every week, I suspect, or I will get banned.â Rangers were issued a Notice of Complaint by the Scottish FA late last week regarding Green's comments, having been accused of bringing the game into disrepute for his remarks. He said before his side's Challenge Cup tie with Brechin City: "Some of it has been driven by bigotry, some of its been driven by jealousy and some of its been driven by all the wrong motives." The SPL will have contracts with whoever produced the content and they will be due fees for any broadcast or distribution of the content. They will also have conditions in place about what can and can't be done with it. Its not really the SPL's fault but lets not allow facts to get in the way. It's part of Lawwell's evil plan!
Ciaran not you too taking pity on him and them. Charlie Green doesn't need sympathy, he doesn't care how much of any persons money and no respect for anyone as long as he is making a killing. He has spent his entire adult years trying to become super rich and he doesn't care who he walks over or who he takes advantage of. Since he has came to Scotland he realises that there is no big money to be made in Scottish Football. Working with Jim Park as his link to Whyte, Green is planning to destroy Sevco by antagonising the Scottish Football Authorities so much that given the opportunity they will throw the Sevco out of Scottish Football. Of course he will blame bigotry, Lawwell, jealousy and what ever else but it won't be his fault. He will then attempt to do what he and Whyte have wanted to do from outset. Join the EPL by merging with Ashley's Newcastle to become Newcastle Rangers. In the mean-time Bomber Brown along with Legend Jardine will buy the ashes of Sevco and probably find out that Ibrox and Murray Park belong to Whyte.
