    Here's today's back page.

No criticism in the headline of the club or Carver... Just the players.

They are **** scared or another ban.

Anyone with any influence that loves our club or come to think of it, loves the game, ought to stand up and tell it like it is.
It's not just Ashley that is corrupting football, it's the obscene amounts of money up for grabs.
No one wants to kill this particular golden goose whilst so many supposed lovers of our game are lining their pockets for doing bugger all squared.
It's a strange anomaly NUFC when you think of it, the game awash with cash, 50000 turn up come hell or high water, yet our club is operating on a shoestring.
There are many famous Geordies, ex players, celebrities, pundits, sportsmen, he'll even our so called Headcoach etc inc the Chronicle who should come out and say that what is happening to NUFC and its supporters is a disgrace.
But whilst they have so much to lose, will they do that?

Quinn is a fat ****. His opinion means nothing. We all know his only true love is Liverpool anyway. He has a nice cushy gig 'writing' bollocks for that disgusting rag but deep down he doesn't give a **** about the club or our fans.

Carver won't get the ragging he should. Same as always now, fear of retribution. This won't be popular but I actually don't mind the club controlling the local press personally. I'm not interested what the press write and would do exactly the same. That is just basic PR for me. The best clubs do exactly this, great way of not airing your dirty laundry.

However I do care what I have to watch. Carver is an absolute ****tard in terms of understanding tactics. If you are that simple, you shouldn't try to be clever. Just pick players in their correct position and motivate them. I'm just waiting to be told the ghost of Sir Bob told him to do it.

The players were terrible but it is difficult not to have some sort of sympathy. How you can have Abeid, Colback and Sissoko available yet play a central midfield of Jonas, Sissoko and Gouffran is quite incredible. Sissoko is a fairweather player, there is no doubt. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a crazy fool. He is lazy and thick too. He will not boss a midfield and control tempo. However he does have a talent, that talent is as a roaming attacking midfielder freed of too much defensive burden. You need two sitters who keep the ball. We have exactly that in Colback and Abeid. So yeah Sissoko was pretty ****, but fairweather players like that need to be utilised in a certain way.

A good manager looks at what he has and finds a way to get the best out of what they bring. Our biggest strength is getting Sissoko running at teams, stretching the game and creating space for Ayoze etc. The post Funky dropped was exactly what everyone watching who knew anything about football was saying. Sunderland went all 90's Wimbledon with the long ball. They knew what we all did, that our defence was a joke and make shift. Yet still old craggyface stood there going "come on lads". Everyone knew the answer was to press Larsson/Cattermole and push out. Not Carver.

Fair play to Wrinkly Dick, he outsmarted the chimp but really it wasn't all that difficult.

Crazy thing - I still think Carver will get the job <laugh>

No coincidence that during our good run, Abeid and Colback sat in the middle and Sissoko was allowed to roam. Also no ****ing coincidence that Sammy and Gouffran never started during it. Jonas in midfield was just ****ing idiotic. He should have been left back with Colback in the middle. Perez up front by himself was also ****ing idiotic. Long balls to a 5ft ****ing dwarf. What ****ing coaching school did Carver and Stone ****ing attend?

Personally I thought it was fairly simple what our team should have been:
GK Krul RB Anita LB Raylor CB Janmaat and Willo CM Colback CM Abeid AM Sissoko LW Jonas or Obertan RW Cabella CF Perez I just don't get any of his thought process. Which I'm quite pleased about really.

Few games have passed and I'm starting to form an opinion on Wrinkly Dick. He clearly see's our poor squad's limitations and gone about getting the best out of our capabilities. ****ing hate long ball but we're not really capable of anything else so I'm happy with it till the end of season as it will keep us up. Our only player out of position was Defoe being asked to play on the right of a tight front three and given extra defensive duties. Like you say, players in correct positions, the right motivation and realistic tactics. Three basics rules to follow when you don't have the luxury of a strong adaptable squad like we both have. I mean lets face, we've both got decent players but most of both our squad just aren't good enough, it least they're giving the impression that they aren't good enough.

Ah yes the old 'field 12 players and hope nobody notices' tactic. Cunning. And we might have had half a chance of a point with that approach. <ok>
