It used to be about the only time you saw (smelled) tangerines and nuts.

Ham that came in an odd shaped tin.

Sparking that Christmas tradition of searching for the plasters.

Ye Olde Yorke Ham is still something going in the states I think.
We still cook a gammon joint every year. My Daughter cooked one, as did her in-laws, we are over run with the things.

I always got a young smokers set for Christmas.

Licorice pipe with red hundreds and thousands to simulate the burning bit.

Chocolate cigarettes in colourful wrappings like those sophisticated Russian tabs one used to be able to buy.

Rough shag which was actually strands of sweet coconut.

All in a box with a happy Dad and Son enjoying real and sweetiefied tobacco products together.

It's a wonder it didn't set me up for 30 years of heavy smoking!!!! <laugh><laugh><laugh> !!!!

    Oh wait...

Woman who complained her pink turkey ruined Christmas is told she bought gammon
    • Zoe messaged NL Woodcock Butchers in Oldham saying she was 'disappointed'
    • But butchers pointed out her previous message ordering a full gammon joint
    • Realising mistake, she apologised and asked whether any other turkeys were left
    • Butcher offered her one for free because it's the 'best laugh he's had this year'

    Babycham.
We was right sophiscated in our drum. Not really. We drank it from tea stained cups.

    Brazil Nuts.
Had one of those crushers. If you got a finger trapped, you knew about it.

Can still find vintage (empty) tins of Sobranie smokes on EBay. A mates dad, who was in the Merch., used to bring them home every now and then although you could find them (expensive) in high-end tobacconists. Special treat to impress the ladies !
