    I retired last February at 59, I had the nerve root injections for bulging discs just after I retired, they worked for a little while but it looks like I may need the op as my spine is also displaced.

    You can tell we are past it when we start comparing ailments <laugh>

    No Vince, my discs are compressed in my lower spine so the pain is down both legs. I have heard of people with trapped nerves in their upper spine having the injection but can't remember if it did them any good.

    <applause>

    All about them at the end of the day. I love Christmas TBH. My whole family around my Mam and Dad's house for pictionary or rapidough or some other game that gets people in the mood. Class after a few glasses of Port and even more glasses of Whiskey!!

    Mate of mine had it and he was totally cured .....sadly the infection he received from the dirty needle killed him.

    The doctor said it was a bad case of swings & roundabouts <doh>

    When the doctor said to me "Take your trousers down, lie on your side and you will feel a little prick" I nearly punched him <laugh>

    Bet the Taoist Chinese love the Christian Christmas. :p

    I know I will be buying my grandkids stuff from Chinese sites.

    I have my eye on one of those quadcopters with camera for the oldest. ( I may even let him have a go after I set it up for him. :p )

    You guys with bad backs have my sympathy.
    I have crumbling vertebrae base of my spine, inoperable and I eat painkillers. (Still spend most of the time in agony. May account for why I'm such a miserable bastard at times. :p )
    My late wife had a spinal fusion for disc problems base of her spine. Worked well for her pain wise and didn't hinder her mobility much.
