It's 1st December so an all things Christmas thread is needed. So lets have all the things you love and hate, what your plans are, what you want from Santa what you'll be eating and drinking best & worst ever presents Christmas music, pictures & stories welcome Bah Humbuggers will be punished
Hate first....people forget or too ignorant and selfish to see that christmas is marketed for the ideal world...which it is not.
My plans; No decorations Dinner out with my daughter and her partner before Xmas Quiet dinner at home with my son and his girlfriend on Xmas Day (I will be cooking the dinner, they will be cooking Boxing Day) Sat 27th watch Premier League Rugby at Twickenham thanks to free tickets from Aviva Sun 28th will Posh finally win a League match before the year ends?
I shall probably spend 2 1/2 weeks completely blissfully oblivious then suddenly panic that it's almost Christmas and I've not sorted anything out, before rushing out to panic buy. As usual!
Yesssssssssss, but I just can't get enough wrapping paper. So far I've cleared out 11 shops of their entire stock, but it's not enough.
Three phrases that sum up Christmas are: Peace on Earth, Goodwill to Men, and Batteries not Included.
Worst ever present was a secret santa one from work. I opened it and it was a bear wearing a Christmas jumper and when you pressed a button it sang Bing Crosbys white Christmas and danced. Waste of a tenner imo. Annoying after the 2nd time you'd heard the song. Last year my mate at work got given a massive black vibrator from her secret santa (was another member of staff who hated her). It wasn't appreciated. Moral of this story...don't work where I work. Oh and Santa isn't real kids. There I've said it.
By the bitter tone in your post, it sounds like you were jealous and wanted to swap with your friend.
This Christmas I will be with family and friends feeling very blessed and content Merry Xmas to one and all x
Christmas eve = working Christmas day - off Boxing day = Morning swim in the North sea, possibly followed by work. Have a good one folks
